Draw Party

Draw it against the clock. Let the Judge decide. Solo or with friends.

What it is

Draw Party is a drawing game where an AI is the judge. You get a word and 45 seconds to sketch it. The Judge guesses what you drew without seeing the word, scores it out of 10 and adds a sarcastic comment. In party mode, up to five players draw the same word at once and race up a leaderboard.

  • 1,069words to draw, in 17 categories
  • 45sper round, enforced by the server
  • 5players per room, all drawing at once
  • 3AI stages in every judgement

Key features

  • Solo mode

A word, a 45-second timer and an instant score with a witty comment. Drawings are saved to your history.

  • Party mode

Share a six-letter room code. Everyone draws the same word at the same time over five rounds, with a leaderboard after each.

  • Live canvases

You can watch everyone else draw in real time, but their canvases start pixelated and only sharpen as the clock runs down, so nobody can copy.

  • An AI judge that plays fair

It guesses without being told the word. Writing the word scores zero, and blank pages or scribbles are caught.

  • Speed matters

Up to 20 bonus points for finishing fast, but only if the drawing is good enough to earn 6 out of 10 or more.

  • No sign-up

Play straight away as a guest, and keep your drawings if you make an account later.

Under the hood

The parts that aren't obvious

  1. A blind judge

A referee checks for blank pages and cheating while, in parallel, a guesser makes three guesses from the image alone. Only if no guess matches does a third call score the drawing, and it must pick from the guesser's list.

  2. Realtime without the database

Strokes travel over Supabase Broadcast, not database writes, and game phases are broadcast with polling as a backup so a missed message never stalls a round.

  3. Server-side time

Each round stores an expiry time. Late drawings score zero and the speed bonus is worked out on the server, not trusted from the browser.

  4. Locked-down scores

Only the server can write scores. A database function checks a room is open, not full and that only the host joins as host.
